Did you know that Machine Knitters Guild has a lending library of books, magazines and patterns for machine knitters? As these items become more difficult to find, we’re very lucky to have access to such an extensive collection. The entire collection is listed on Ravelry. For questions about how to use the library, please contact our Librarian through our Contact Us page.
Do you want to learn how to use your knitting machine? Some of our members teach private lessons, please ask. And there are classes available all over the San Francisco Bay Area that are taught by one of the best knitting machine teachers and designers, Paola Trombetta. Please check with San Leandro Adult School, Palo Alto Adult School and the San Mateo Adult School to find out when courses are available.
Many of the knitting machines that we use are aging, but they were very solidly built and will last a very long time if they are properly serviced. One place for questions about repairs and service is Needle-Tek in Washington state. If you need machine repair in Southern California, contact Make Lively Knitting Machine Repair. This company can service Brother, Silver Reed and Toyota Machines. Call or text them at 858.357.5666 or you may book an appointment at www.makelively.com.

Some of our members have items for sale, so we’ve created this section to support those listings. As a member, you can use the form to submit a title, photo, price, and your contact information for any machines or supplies you’d like to sell. Please note: all transactions are handled directly between buyer and seller — no sales are conducted through the website.
